News and EventsEU-US Summit in Washington: Transatlantic cooperation on economics and climate protection
*************************************************************
30.04.2007 The European Union (EU) and the United States of America (US) have decided to further deepen their economic cooperation. A transatlantic economic partnership will reduce bureaucratic obstacles and harmonize differing standards and conditions. Both sides also agree that climate protection must be improved. During the EU-US Summit in Washington Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, US President George W. Bush and Commission President José Manuel Barroso underlined the significance of their new level of economic cooperation. "It’s a good day for EU-US relations", Chancellor Merkel stated. She thanked President Bush for the "substantial progress in such a short time". This would not have been possible without the President’s commitment. All three made it clear that they wanted the current Doha round of global trade talks to succeed. The transatlantic economic community was not directed against these negotiations aimed at reducing tariff barriers.

Although the term integration is often used with different meanings, our societies are facing the same challenges. A successful integration policy is an essential prerequisite for future immigration; it is crucial to preserving freedom and maintaining social cohesiveness."

Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis will pay an official six-day visit to China next week, where she will meet with China's prime minister, foreign minister, the 2008 Olympic Games Organising Committee chief and other political and business leaders.
Foreign ministry spokesman George Koumoutsakos said Bakoyannis would begin her May 8-13 visit to China in Shanghai, where she will attend a Greek-Chinese business conference, and then head to Beijing, where she will hold her various meetings.
On May 11, Bakoyannis will attend a concert marking the 35th anniversary of the commencement of diplomatic relations between Greece and China, to be held in the Forbidden City.
Bakoyannis will be accompanied by Deputy FM Evripides Stylianidis, Koumoutsakos said.
[ Marek believes Dora will be invited because of her engagement towards Turkey and Black sea.Dora is in China next week in confirmation of the general agenda of Bilderberg as defined with a meeting in Istanbul]

On may 10 he will attend the general assembly of ATCO group.I 'll give you news.
Good chance to the former member of Bilderberg ( retirees are rarely reinvited...follong the law of liberalism or communism, they are useless for ever.)

Pascal Lamy was in Paris on may 4 (OECD)
He was today in Dresden ( Germany)
He will be on 9 may in Geneve ( General Council)
BARROSO -POLITICAL MESS OF SINTRA
*********************************
As guarantor of the Treaties (UE), Barroso tried to stage a political meeting in Sintre 12-13 May with selected european leaders. He was thinking to build a steering commitee to cober the lack of real achievement as Commission leader. This was also a way to seek punlic office would its position compromised as Commission president.
The meeting was planned earlier this year and secretly. The operation was leaked to cabinet of non invited government members. You should imagine the messy resuts of this. NIcolas Sarkozy was invited ( we know that the presence last year of Devidjan was signifying that Bilderberg was betting on this electoral candidate). But he should have invited the other candidate, Segolene Royal.Merkel and Juncker did not responded to the invitation.
The mandate of mr Barroso was not a real success, and the man promoting the ' Lisbon Agenda' based on assumption that proved to be false, the competitiveness of Europe beeing better than assumed.
For the abilities that were given to him, to say that his presidency was a success is something false and we may expect that Bilderberg will design somebody else for this position.

Hi Marek, thanks for the earlier mention. Just to let you know the Turkish forum has been hacked and wiped out a total of 8 times now in the last 2 months! I keep having to back it up, re-upload it and change my password. Like you said, this means that they don't want Turkish people knowing the truth about Bilderberg.
Timuçin, what is giving your hotel search?
Yes, this has been difficult. The likely candidates seem to be blocked. i.e. The Klassis says it's booked up every day for the rest of the year! This makes no sense, so I'm assuming their server is deliberately down. This is probably why all of the web-based search-engines say it's full every day. Also the Travel Agencies say the same. I'll keep trying & will ask a couple of people for help. I appreciate everyone's help in this matter. Thanks, T. |

Maximus,

I'm looking for hotels in Istanbul, but is it necessary that the hotel be outside of the city? Because I can't find any good hotel outside populated areas... |

AGENDA UPDATE
Dear friends,
I just learned, thanks to some scandal regarding the cancelation of the visit of the Dalaï Lama in Belgium (so that he doesn't prevent Prince Philip of Belgium to be on a mission in China), that Prince Philip of Belgium will be on an economic mission in China between the 16th and the 26th of June...
I don't remember seeing this info here on the forum yet, so I thought you might be interested...
If Philip takes part in the Bilderberg meeting this year (which is not certain yet), it means that the meeting won't take place between the 16th and the 26th of June...
The article in French, below...
Yours sincerely, Vic.
Source : http://www.metrotime.be/Le_Dalai_Lama_embarrasse_notre_gouvernement.html
