HOLBROOKE: "IN ITS ELECTIONS, TURKEY SHOULD SHOW HOW IT CHERISHES THE RULE OF LAW"
**********************************************************
In its upcoming general elections, Turkey should demonstrate to the world that it holds the rule of law supreme, said former US Ambassador to the UN Richard Holbrooke yesterday. Speaking at a conference co-organized by Sabanci University and the Brookings Institution in Washington, Holbrooke said that the current meaning of being a Westerner was very different than during the early days of the Turkish Republic, adding that Turkey's relations with the West could be influenced by the nation's recent political crisis. During the conference, the Sakip Sabanci International Research Awards were also handed out. /Milliyet/

SPOILING TOURISM IN TURKEY
***************************
The way in which Nato authories were acting with our programs of hotel reservation has certainly cost a lot of money to Turkish tourism.Indeed, some hotels were declared full and other free. At fifteen days of the meeting they can t offer again to block vital informations for hotels.
A quick search upon luxuous hotels is now giving:

Conrad
SAS Bosphorus ( for me one of the three master choice)
NOvotel ( belonging indirectly to Davignon)(master choice as well)
Ritz Carlton

All are five stars

the second master choice for security reason would be the Klassis , well protected but far from the city.(for security it is the last master choice).
But before definitively saying it i am asking you to make your own enquiry with www.hotel.de and www.conferencehotel.com
i am waiting your comments and diverse advises and remarks.

US WARNING TO NEW ELECTED PRESIDENT SARKOZY
**********************************************

The US yesterday issued a warning to new French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is well known for his anti-Turkish and anti-immigrant stances. US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte called on Sarkozy to treat the issue of Turkey free of prejudice. Speaking to the French-American Foundation, Negroponte said that the United States has supported Turkey's European Union membership and that this support would continue. He added that the US hoped that in the weeks and months ahead, the French government would keep an open mind on this subject and be ready to discuss this issue with the US and others concerned. France should consider the possible consequences for both Turkey and the region if the door were closed completely to Turkish membership in the EU, he added. /Aksam/

RATO: TURKEY IS A DYNAMIC, RISING MARKET
International Monetary Fund head Rodrigo de Rato said yesterday that Turkey was one of the world 's four dynamic rising markets, adding that in recognition of its increasingly important role in the global economy, the IMF 's Monetary and Finance Committee had decided to give Turkey a higher quota and say in the group. Rato said that they had reached a consensus concerning raising the quota for four dynamic rising markets -- China, Mexico, South Korea and Turkey -- and were working on new quota formulas for future use. Rato added that there was a consensus among the IMF members that the new quota will be simple and transparent. /Star/

[What Rato forgot to say is that the IMF is not going well, and that Turkey is not in good financial shape but in good economical state... so it is interesting for all international bankers to plundge into Turkey. So the wave of buying of Turkish banks by INTERNATIONAL BANKERS and the interest to earn Money and make the NATO state receive an award as a UE member even if the muslims could erase the heritage of AtaTurk.

About Sarkozy, his vision is mediteranean oriented but he is not believing Turkey integration could be a plus for a UE with already 27 members which will meet difficulties with a 80 million membrs state as Turkey.
The way Negroponte phoned the message to Sarkozy through the powerful French American Foundation, will not help him to ploy the head and will create new difficulties for American diplomacy´]

A DIFFICULT PICK
*****************
In one week, the Masters of the known Universe will gather is Istanbul.
Where precisely?

The actual choice of hotels is giving:
-Conrad ( in my mind too big)
-SAS Bosphorous i d like
-Novotel of Accord Group just built and deliver in March 2007.A new brand hotel with mr Davignon as administrator of Accor Group in France...May be
-Ritz Carlton i do not know. Will enquire about it tomorrow.
-Eresim taxim Premier.I do not know it.Will enquire about it tomorrow.

On the other side, far from Istanbul: Klassis resort.I find it not so luxuous with too much place (1000 rooms available) but with the advantage of permetting an easy defense.

Perhaps i may have forgotten a luxuous hotel as the one i found in Istanbul with rooms at 1500$ the night. But it was free...Has any turkish an idea of an hotel where our friends could lodge for a few days? A big residence belonging to mr Koç by instance?
(or mr Sabançi?).

At the moment, my choice is going to SAS Bosphorus and Novotel.I will tell tomorrow after having seen the Ritz Hotel and Eresin Taxim Premier.
I believe they will meet inside Istanbul
The example of Queen Bea lodging inside Istanbul a few month ago give the evidence they will do the same.

OPERA SOAP AT IMF BANK - WHEN A BILDERBERGER IS SPEAKING ABOUT ANOTHER ONE
********************************************************

Statement by IMF Managing Director Rodrigo de Rato on the Resignation of Paul Wolfowitz as President of the World Bank
Press Release No. 07/102
May 17, 2007

"Paul Wolfowitz has informed me of his intention to resign as President of the World Bank. I respect this decision, which he has taken with the best interests of the Bank in mind, and I am confident the Bank and its membership will maintain their focus on the vital task of promoting economic development.

"I look forward to a continuation of the productive collaboration between the Fund and Bank in our areas of shared responsibility.

"In the time we have worked together as the heads of the two Bretton Woods institutions, I have valued our partnership and admired Paul Wolfowitz's commitment to the cause of poverty reduction and to the Bank as the world's leading development institution."

*******************************************
Continuation is supposed to go on whith another Bilderberger as Kemal Darvis at the head of World Bank? Or senator Lugar?
The soap opera is going on...

CONCENTRATION MOVE IN WORLD S LEADING BANKS
***********************************************

The subject enters in our topic. We all know that Bilderberg is a formidable tool using media, politics, governments ( as subject of the Force applied) and banks to go towards mondialism through the ideological contain of the second wave of Liberalism.

Announced since a few years by economists, conditions are now present to engage merging of huge credit establishments in Europe.
Threats of take over by American Banks, constitution of banking giants in China , all is showing that Europe’s world of bank has to move on with the international world s banks. Paribas, UBS, HSBC, Royal Bank of Scotland are now in the first 15 big banks of the world. European market is ready for merging in this world now.Now the groups after a period of consolidation have to expand in and outside Europe. Merging since the year 2000 from Bank Santander with Abbey National and Unocredit with Hypovereinsbank have given good results with scale savings.

To this days, five banks in Europe are active buyers: Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, Santander Central Hispano, Unicredit and BNP Paribas. Their actual future victim is ABN Amro, a Dutch Bank which is targeted to be deconstructed apartment by apartment or to survive with Barclay s bank if this company succeed in merging.
( but with no value added to be shared).

Naturally , merging is meaning loss of work for thousand of workers. What has changed now is the way to acquire another bank. Banking , was synonym of quiet action, is now giving place to brutal declarations and acts. European Commission is helping to structure a strong bank network in Europe and oppose actively to protectionism by states. In this way UE helps Liberalism to reduce independence of the states of the Union and permitting a nasty social role to the future lenders of all companies without frontiers of the continent.

We all know that mr Peter Sutherland is inside the Royal Bank of Scotland. He is sharing a vision about our future with his bilderbergs friends that implies vision of the world without pity for the poors in the Name of the New Bible of Liberalism..
All is happening renforcing the power of the banks is weakening our normal quest for more freedom and liberty. In the ABN affair, Fortis is joining Royal Bank and Santander to dismantle ABN.

This strategy is inspired of the Hedge funds methods for immediate return against an establishment of more of 200 years old.

In a few years this strategy is making probable the concentration in Europe of five or six banks. No more.
(as a reminder : 2000 HSBN buys CCF for 11.5 billions of euros, Santander buys Abbey for 12.5 billions of Euro, 2005 Unicredito buys Bayerische Hypo and vereinsbank for 15 billions of euros, 2006 BNP buys BNL ( banca nazionale del Lavoro) for 9 billions of euros.)

PLACES OF THE WORLD S BANK
1.CITIGROUP
2.BANK OF AMERICA
3.INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL BANK- CHINA
4.HSBS
5.BARCLAYS
6.BANK OF CHINA
7.JP MORGAN
8.CHINA CONSTRUCTION BANK
9.UBS ( Union of Switzerland Banks)
10.ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND

BANKS IN TURKEY
In 2004 BNP was buying 50% of the Turk economi Bankasi (TEB), the then 10 th bank of the country..In 2001, HSBN was buying the Demirbank in difficulties, Unicredito was working with the Koç ( Bilderberg) group, who was owning the Koç Bank who in 2005 was ready to take over the Yapi credit, third bank of Turkey whose profability could be better. Intesa tried to acquire the Garanti bank.

The economy in 2005 was lowly using banks, allowing important profits. Fortis was buying the Disbanké 7th bank of Turkey in 2005.
The banks generally are betting in bankl produces not helped up to now by high interests rates. ‘ credit to the cosumption are working good, house credit is beginning and auto credits is surging’ was saying an economic mission at the time.
In 2004 credit cards distributed was climbing from 19 millions to 26 millions .
‘With the political bonds to European Union , business context is narrowing with the one in Europe’ was saying a specialist.

The IMF specialists where insisting for a mere extern control on Turkish economy.

Here follows a sort by actives of the Turkish banks
1.ZIRAAT BANKASI
2.BANKASI AS
3.AKBANK
4.GARANTI BANKASI
5.YAPI VE KREDI
6.HALK BANKASI
7.VAKIFLAR BANKASI TAO
The essential problem of Turkey is the money. The Turkish pound is regularly ( YTL) knowing a loss in its value ( in 2006, 25% of its value in a few month). This is the main reason for which the interest rates are high. The directeur rate was passing from 15% to 17.25% on june 7, 2006 ! The Istanbul bourse indicator was knowing a loss of 25% in two months. The national bank was selling a lot of foreign currencies to restablish the equilibrium .
Nowadays, Turkey is no more Turkey of the year 2001 ( after the deconfiture of the economy). In april 2006 a flight from investors was provoking this crisis. Inflation, from 7.7% in 2005 was hiking to 9.9% in 2006.The IMF has lended a new sum of 10 billions of dollars in 2006 and was to get an inflation rate of 4% in 2007 and 4 in 2008. This was not a sustainable objective as the realty is showing it.
