From tomorrow, a very wide range of public bodies and quangos will be able to access your fixed line and mobile phone records!! The total number is said to be around 795!!!!
This is one of the first dictatorial decrees under recent government legislation which allows ministers to bing in new laws bypassing parliament.
Home Secretary Jacqui Smith muct be lost is a sea of SIS testosterone!
Some 475 local councils will have access to all phone records...the scope for corporate corruption is fantastic and no one has to give a reason for this snooping. Its even harder to see who can monitor this spying.
This will soon be expanded to include all email and computer traffic...will we soon see "what do you do on the internet"? when you apply for a job, not knowing if they`ve requested a full internet profile of you activity?
