An attempt to repeal the blasphemy law in the House of Commons has been withdrawn after the Government indicated it would support repeal in the Lords.
The Government said that churches, particularly the Church of England, would need to be consulted as part of a review.
Subject to its conclusions, the Government would then put forward an amendment to repeal the laws when the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill is in the House of Lords.
A Downing Street spokesman said: "It was right that there was a proper consultation before there was any change in the legislation. The Government was not proposing a change in the law today; what it was proposing was that there needed to be a proper consultation."
In light of the Government announcement, Liberal Democrat MP, Dr Evan Harris, an honorary member of the National Secular Society, withdrew an amendment to get rid of the law.
Repeal of the blasphemy law is supported by all three main parties, although the Conservatives say they will allow a free vote. Humanly speaking, it is therefore highly unlikely that the law can be retained. _________________ Christ over Christianity. |

Isn't the Queen of England head of Church there?
O, monkeybone is promoting French or American Republicanism.
For your information; Tony Blair was converted to Roman Catholicism in 2007, while during his rule as a Fabian Socialist Democratic Reduction promoter, had a Franciscan confessor named Michael Seed. Tony Blair also started the war in Iraq, because the Jesuits where expelled from Iraq in 1969, and Roman Catholics from Iraq where brought into Europe, gotten Passports and Fabian Socialist Democratic support and a house and all in Europe, by priests any many other women run "refugee work" while the Shia that was intelligent enough to defend against Popery is being killed out by British Special Forces now.
So far my comment on monkeybone
In commenting the article this:
Over here in the Netherlands, the papists that have taken over our Government since Napoleon Bonaparte invaded, supported by certain local traitors, would also try this since 2003. Started by Piet Hein Donner an Ecumenical Protestant in a necktie: An effort to install the Holy Inquisition.
I doubt whether it will work. But one never knows. Once people understand that the Pope is fallible, very hard for some but highly logical to others, one will not trust such a thing. Anti-blasphemy laws installed by papists. Ehr, Tony Blair is a Roman Catholic Sir, if Protestant laws in England would be taken serious, he would be arrested for that. I heared rumors that he was, and the fact is kept secret. If it is truth, I hope it is for the reason I gave.
Because
Roman Catholicism is Blasphemy, 100% and infallible!
- Babylonian Sunday is kept, as opposed to the Sabbath kept by Jesus.
http://www.remnantofgod.org/sabatak.htm
- Idol worship is conducted, the 10 Commandments and the prophets forbid it. Jesus was also no Idol worship, but truth.
- Roman Catholics worship Mary, while Jesus did not.
- Jesus said, only Father in Heaven is perfect. But Roman Catholics deny this, any Catholic is a fanatic violent protector of infallibility of the Pope.
- Roman Catholicism persecutes any religion, after calling them "pagan", "heretics", "schismatics", "a Cult", "Sinners", it's propaganda only.
- The Lord I AM would forbid David to build a Temple. But Roman Catholics build temples, than deny this, and become angry if you call their building any thing else but Church.
- Roman Catholics lie, that the Jews killed Christ. But any one that has read some Gospel can know, that Romans killed a Jew called Jesus Christ.

Well, any ways, this is more easy to explain in Dutch. The Dutch language, as is the English and German language, is based on the Bible from Reformation. But the King James 1611 would translate the Greek word Ecclesias into Church, just as only the Roman Catholic Bibles over here on the mainland. William Tyndale however, would translate Ecclesias into Congregation, and the European Bibles since the Geneva Republic and Erasmus, have de word "Church" not in there. Unless this Bible is translated by Roman Catholics off course. This is a very important problem, because in other ways the King James Bible is a very good one, but the Roman Catholic influence is also very clear. And if you find that terrible, just get some idea of the Roman Catholic influence in Lutheranism, you would be grateful to know John Calvin in Britain! Any how, the Bible as translated by William Tyndale is currently online, you can check what I say

You will not find the word "Church" in this translation.
