Inbev isn't run by the Belgians but rather by ruthless shrewd Brazilians. Anheuser-Busch grew to almost 48% of US beer market share, but stock and growth has been stagnant for 5 years with an entrenched bloated distributorship. This makes A-B a target in the merciless multinational corporate world. Assuming the deal goes through. Inbev will slash A-B the entrenched cost structure of A-B. I know this through a knowledgable source in A-B. It may have been discussed at the G-8, but don't expect the US to put up a fight that nixes the deal.
