The Australian Parliament are attempting to move ahead with their plans to introduce legislation which will censor the viewing of internet sites in Australia, effectively diminishing public opinion and leaving many people voiceless. As this infringement on our right to freedom of speech will eventually spread worldwide, affecting us all, it is imperative that we sign the petition below, show our concern and effectively stop it. This petition is open to non-Australian nationals as well.

Due to the fact that online petitions aren't valid in the Australian parliament, please download, print, sign and send the petition to the postal address on the 1-page form. It's merely the cost of an envelope, stamp, sheet of paper and your time.

"Due to the governments plan to go ahead with imposing compulsory internet censorship on every Australian despite heavy opposition whether it be from the public or experts or businesses or online gamers, we are being ignored, this petition has been prepared, and will be tabled in Parliament to officially express our condemnation of the forthcoming legislation that imposes and infringes on our human rights and effects every user’s experience online.

Every signatures counts, as a democratic country we have the right and therefore the responsibility to resist censorship.
