Bilderberg 2024 Found: Spain
May 10, 2024 AFP Editor
https://americanfreepress.net/bilderberg-2024-found-spain/
By Mark Anderson
The 70th annual Bilderberg meeting will run from May 30-June 2 in Spain, AFP learned only a few hours after its most recent print edition went to press.
A reliable source, UK reporter Tony Gosling, who worked with the late AFP sleuth Jim Tucker covering Bilderberg in the 1990s, contacted this AFP writer around the evening of May 9 to confirm that the ultra-exclusive, secretive elite confab will take place on those dates at the Madrid Eurostars Suites-Mirasierra.
Gosling, after he was contacted to help AFP broaden the search, got back with AFP after about 48 hours and provided the main source of this information—the Swedish news site NyaTider—though he was not at liberty to disclose who tipped him off on that rather obscure website’s breaking article. According to that site, certain Swedish government officials, under pressure from disclosure laws, came clean about where the elite group will be meeting this year.
Since the official Bilderberg news site, as of May 9, had not yet posted where and when this year’s meeting will take place, there is, as of this date, no guest or topics lists available.
This writer sent the NyaTider piece to the Dutch-based Bilderberg news department to see if they will own up to the details about this year’s meeting sooner than usual and release them. As of the time of this posting, Bilderberg’s public relations had not responded.
In recent years, the advance time between when Bilderberg would officially release its meeting information and when the meeting would start had been reduced to three to four days, so as to discourage the often cash-strapped “riff-raff” public and alt-news from swarming the place. |

Bilderbergers lead EU, NATO, IMF and UN
Prague (OTS) - Since 2019, EU, NATO, IMF, and UN have been chaired by people who attended confidential Bilderberg conference(s) prior to their appointment. Bilderbergers also occupy other top positions like the heads of the European Council, European Central Bank and Eurogroup. French president Macron is Bilderberger and the day after his inauguration, Bilderberger Philippe became Prime Minister. Macron's candidate, Bilderberger Georgieva, leads IMF thanks to change of selection rules. These indicia of elite cronyism are summarized in new peer-reviewed study.
Bilderberg will soon hold another conference. At the meeting in 2016, member of Bilderberg's steering committee Barroso lobbied for Georgieva's nomination to the post of UN Secretary General. Eventually, this position was won by Bilderberger Guterres. During his mandate, two Bilderbergers (Moratinos and Hennis-Plasschaert) became UN representatives.
In 2019, Georgieva was appointed the director of IMF. She did not meet the criteria for this job, but the rules were sidestepped or changed. The decisive factor was Georgieva's backing from Macron.
In EU, Bilderbergers occupy the posts of president of the European Commission (von der Leyen), member of the European Commission (Urpilainen, Vestager), president of ECB (Lagarde), president of Eurogroup (Donohoe), president of the European Council (Michel). „Von der Leyen and Michel attended the same Bilderberg conference in 2015 and in 2019 they both gained highest positions in EU,“ the study emphasizes.
NATO is also striking. „All post-Cold War general secretaries of NATO participated at some Bilderberg conference prior to their appointment (…) Both Wörner and Solana had Bilderberg première in 1985,“ the study highlights.
Macron attended Bilderberg conclave in May-June 2014. Already in August 2014, under Prime Minister Bilderberger Valls, Macron was chosen to lead key ministry of economy. And after Macron reached presidency in 2017, Bilderberger Philippe became Prime Minister. „Philippe attended Bilderberg conference in 2016, at that time as mere mayor,“ the study stresses.
Other Bilderbergers received top positions at World Bank (Wolfensohn, Wolfowitz, Melkert, Zoellick, Heemskerk) and WTO (Ruggiero, Lamy).
The then member of Bilderberg's steering committee Jordan secured invitation to Bilderberg conference in 1991 for Clinton and introduced him as „the next President of the United States”. Also due to Jordan's help, Clinton really became US president in 1993. In 1995, as Jordan wanted, Clinton installed Wolfensohn into World Bank.

War, AI and more war: the 2024 Bilderberg agenda is sure to set off alarm bells
https://www.theguardian.com/world/article/2024/jun/01/bilderberg-meeting-spain
The secretive annual summit has tried to counter its arcane reputation, but its guest list still reads like a conspiracist’s who’s who of who rules the world

This year the Bilderberg summit, now under way in Madrid, turned 70 years old. But the controversial and secretive gathering of the world’s elites shows no signs of slowing down.
For decades the Bilderberg meeting, where the rich and the powerful gather behind closed doors to talk about what ails the world, has been the subject – understandably – of conspiracy theories. In recent years, Bilderberg has sought to remake itself and open up a little: more Davos than Illuminati.
But it still raises hackles from many observers. Its beady eyes, twinkling with billionaires, are this year fixed firmly on the future. Specifically, the “future of warfare”. And with conflicts raging from Sudan to Ukraine to Gaza, it feels like it is the spirit of the age.
This grim subject is being thrashed out under the hum of police drones hovering over the hotel, making sure such luminaries as the king of the Netherlands and the head of Nato are safe inside. Even by Bilderberg standards, the security at this year’s conference is intense, but it managed to gear up even more when the Spanish king’s entourage swept into the venue past a traffic jam of police vans.
The heightened security is perhaps a reflection of the threats and “challenges” packed into the conference agenda: Russia, China, the Middle East, the climate – while the session on Ukraine, titled Ukraine and the World, has a worrying hint of a wider world war. And when the topic of the Changing Faces of Biology is being discussed by the CEO of Pfizer, the head of the EU Centre for Disease Prevention and Control, and the man who led the Human Genome Project, you can almost hear the alarm bells over the police sirens.
The world of Bilderberg in 2024 throbs with threats; it’s what conference participant Alexander Stubb, the president of Finland, recently described as “the weaponisation of everything”. It’s a world of “hybrid attacks” driven by disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence. There’s even a session on AI safety at this year’s gathering, one of two sessions devoted to AI, securing its place at the head of Bilderberg’s agenda.
The conference hall is heaving with tech luminaries, including the heads of Google DeepMind, Microsoft AI, Mistral AI and Anthropic, making the event a high-level AI summit in its own right.
Many of these AI chiefs are tech optimists; Demis Hassabis, the CEO of Google DeepMind, recently raved about AI “spreading consciousness to the stars”. But the contingent of US national security officials, who have flowed in from Washington for these talks, tend to take a more worldly and weaponised view of the subject. They’re led by the deputy national security adviser, Jonathan Finer, and Jen Easterly, the director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. They are joined by one of the US’s most senior soldiers, the supreme allied commander Europe, Christopher Cavoli, who warned recently that the conflict with Russia was shaping up to be a “long fight”. So the immediate future of war sounds like it’ll be more war.
It’s just sad that Henry Kissinger isn’t here to enjoy it. The elder statesman of Bilderberg died in November at the age of 100.

Certainly the world’s military – and the industries that surround it – take Bilderberg seriously. Gen Cavoli is taking time out from leading a “wholesale modernization” of Nato’s defense capabilities to attend the Madrid conference. His boss at Nato, Jens Stoltenberg, is attending his last Bilderberg as secretary general. His successor is hotly tipped to be Mark Rutte, the outgoing Dutch prime minister. Rutte is a Bilderberg regular, and doubtless the group will be delighted, though perhaps not surprised, if yet another of their charmed circle lands a top job.
The other prime minister here in Madrid is Estonia’s Kaja Kallas, who said recently that “openness is our greatest weapon” in free societies. “At its core,” she said, “openness represents getting rid of barriers that hinder the flow of information.”
Sadly, we won’t know if she talks at Bilderberg about openness, because of all the barriers hindering the flow of information. We do know that Kallas believes that on the battlefield, “Ukraine has out-innovated Russia, fielding entirely new weapons systems” – some of which will have been developed by the tech companies at this year’s conference.
Time magazine has dubbed Ukraine “an AI war lab”, and the Economist agrees, describing it as “a testing ground for companies like Anduril and Palantir” – the heads of both of these defense tech companies are here in Madrid.
The founder of Anduril Industries is Palmer Luckey, the designer of Oculus VR, who got bored of making headsets and wanted to build autonomous combat vehicles instead – so in 2017 he set up the defense contractor Anduril Industries, with investment from Founders Fund, which is run by the venture capitalist and Bilderberg insider Peter Thiel. Another of Thiel’s happy investments was in Palantir – the AI surveillance giant run by Alex Karp, who sits alongside his mentor, Thiel, on Bilderberg’s steering committee.
War is a fantastic opportunity for R&D; as Karp says: “There are things that we can do on the battlefield that we could not do in a domestic context.” Meanwhile in Palestine, Palantir technology is being used by the IDF “in support of war-related missions”. The onslaught has been excellent for the company’s bottom line. “Our products have been in great demand,” enthuses Karp.

Karp’s fellow Bilderberg insider and Pentagon favourite Eric Schmidt, who used to run Google, is said by Forbes magazine to have been so “inspired by Ukraine’s use of drones on the battlefield” that he has spent the past year “working on a secret military drone project”.
But for now, if Ukraine is to win the drone war, Schmidt says that it needs “sustained financial and technical support from Kyiv’s allies”. This sentiment will surely be echoed by Ukraine’s representative at the Madrid conference, the foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, who will no doubt be doing his best to coax some extra billions out of the crowd.
This year’s Bilderberg is thick with senior ministers and EU commissioners, not to mention the heads of the European Investment Bank and the Bank of Spain. The event itself is being hosted by Ana Botín, the executive chair of Banco Santander, and the heads of numerous other finance giants are attending, including Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and Societé Générale.
Big business tends to pick up the tab for Bilderberg, because it’s such a high-end investment opportunity. Bilderberg is the boardroom of the western alliance, so they get to participate in the shaping of the grand strategy and hopefully get a jump on the market.
It’s looking like next year’s host will be the Swedish billionaire investor Marcus Wallenberg, the chairman of defense company Saab. His senior adviser, Oscar Stenström, has been hovering round the venue as a member of the conference “pre-team”. Stenström was the chief negotiator for Sweden’s successful accession to Nato in March, and what better way to toast the ongoing expansion of the Alliance than with a Scandinavian Bilderberg. Government officials from across the Western world are meeting with business leaders and academics in Madrid at the 70th Bilderberg summit this weekend. Behind closed doors and out of reach of the press, the attendees are scheduled to discuss “Ukraine,” “Russia,” and “The future of warfare.”
Held every year since 1954, the Bilderberg Meeting brings together the wealthy and powerful from Europe and North America to discuss – according to most reports – how to more closely align their economies and policies.
Participation is for invitees only, no official statements or communiques are released, and according to the limited details available on the Bilderberg group’s website, participants take part as “individuals” and are “not bound by the conventions of their office or by pre-agreed positions.”

The inherent secrecy of the Bilderberg Meetings has given rise to conspiracy theories from both ends of the political spectrum. Leftists see the Bilderberg club as an instrument of capitalist power, while right-wingers view the meetings – along with those of the Trilateral Commission and World Economic Forum – as planning sessions for a totalitarian one-world government, or ‘New World Order’.
“To say we were striving for a one-world government is exaggerated, but not wholly unfair,” Denis Healey, a founding member of the group, told The Guardian in 2001. “Those of us in Bilderberg felt we couldn’t go on forever fighting one another for nothing and killing people and rendering millions homeless. So we felt that a single community throughout the world would be a good thing.”
“Various conspiracy theorists have expressed wild allegations about the purpose of the gatherings,” the Bilderberg website states. “While these claims lack any and all merit, we regret to see that many continue to flourish online and in social media groups.” _________________ http://www.radio4all.net/index.php/contributor/2149

Mark Carney, Francois-Philippe Champagne attended Bilderberg Meeting
By

The secretive Bilderberg Meeting commenced over the weekend in Madrid, Spain marking its 70th session with two high-profile Canadians in attendance.
This annual event, known for gathering influential figures from politics, business, and academia, ran until Sunday.
Among the notable attendees this year were former Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney and Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development François-Philippe Champagne.
Carney has also been floated as a potential candidate to replace Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada.
The Bilderberg Meeting has often been at the centre of speculation and conspiracy theories due to the high profile of its attendees and the secretive nature of the discussions.
This isn’t the first time Carney has attended the event.
The Bilderberg Meeting operates under the strict Chatham House Rule, meaning participants can’t be identified for comments they made during the meeting.
This year, the agenda covered several topics including a focus on artificial intelligence. The state of artificial intelligence and its safety implications was a major focus.
Another agenda item included the “changing faces of biology,” as well as climate change.
The future of warfare, considering the evolution of conflict in a technologically advanced era, was another key issue.
Economic challenges facing both Europe and the United States were also explored, highlighting issues in two of the world’s largest economic regions
Participants also delved into U.S. politics.
True North reached out to both Carney and Champagne for comment about their attendance but did not receive a response. _________________ http://www.radio4all.net/index.php/contributor/2149

President Alexander Stubb and European Affairs Minister Anders Adlercreutz (SPP) have been taking part in this weekend’s Bilderberg group meeting. The secretive meeting of European and North American politicians, business leaders and others wraps up today in Madrid, Spain.
Stubb went to Madrid on Friday after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Nordic leaders in the Swedish capital.
According to a brief statement from the president's office, "the aim of the Bilderberg meetings is to bring together leading European and North American politicians, academics, journalists and business representatives and provide a forum for informal and confidential discussions."
The confidential Bilderberg meetings have been held since 1954, with invitees taking part as individuals rather than in their official capacities.
Besides Stubb and Adlercreutz, two other Finns are included on the public list of participants in the closed-door meeting: Erja Yläjärvi, editor-in-chief of Helsingin Sanomat, the largest daily newspaper in the Nordics, and Erkki Liikanen, former European Commissioner and governor of the Bank of Finland, who now chairs the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Foundation.
Finnish commissioners and PMs
Former prime minister Sanna Marin (SDP) attended the two previous Bilderberg meetings in Lisbon and Washington, DC.
Other Finns who have participated in the group's meetings over the years include European commissioners Olli Rehn (Cen) and Jutta Urpilainen (SDP) as well as ex-PM Paavo Lipponen (SDP), ex-Nokia chair Jorma Ollila, Helsingin Sanomat publisher Aatos Erkko and Professor Matti Apunen, a former newspaper editor and head of the business and policy think-tank EVA.
The public list of participants in this year’s 70th off-the-record gathering features 131 attendees from 25 countries, including NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands, Estonian prime minister Kaja Kallas, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and two Spanish cabinet ministers.
The official agenda includes topics such as artificial intelligence, the climate and the "changing faces of biology" as well as geopolitical conflicts and the economy.
Adlercreutz is the front-runner to take over as chair of the Swedish People's Party two weeks from now, replacing Education Minister Anna-Maja Henriksson, who is leaving the cabinet. _________________ http://www.radio4all.net/index.php/contributor/2149

It's not easy to remain secret in an age of near-constant surveillance and endless information sources.
But some powerful groups, somehow, have managed it — at least to some degree.
Such is the case with the Bilderberg Meetings, a tight-lipped, off-the-record gathering that summons its participants once a year to discuss global issues and encourage "dialogue between Europe and North America," according to the group's website.
The group is hosting its 70th annual meeting this weekend in Madrid, where attendees will discuss a range of contemporary issues.

Here's what we know.
Founding
The annual events are hosted by a group called Foundation Bilderberg Meetings, led by a steering committee of elite members from government, business, tech, and the press.
The first meeting in May 1954 was held at a hotel in The Netherlands, from which the meeting gets its name.

"Representatives from economic, social, political and cultural fields were invited to informal discussions to help create a better understanding of the complex forces and major trends affecting Western nations in the difficult postwar period," according to the Bilderberg website.

Known group members have included former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and David Rockefeller, who was once chairman of the Chase corporation.
Recent Meetings
Past meetings have been hosted in Portugal, the United States, Switzerland, and Italy.
"Throughout the years, the annual Meetings have become a forum for discussion on a wide range of topics — from trade to jobs to technology, from monetary policy to investment, and from ecological challenges to the task of promoting international security," the group's website says.
Despite its secrecy, the group does put out a brief agenda. In 2018, it apparently discussed populism, inequality, and artificial intelligence, among other top issues.

Current members of the Steering Committee include business magnates like conservative megadonor Peter Thiel, former Google CEO Eric Schmidt, and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
2024 Bilderberg Meeting
Agendas are publicly released "shortly in advance" of meetings, a spokesperson for Bilderberg Meetings said in a statement to Business Insider.
Members attending this weekend's meeting in Madrid will discuss artificial intelligence, geopolitical conflicts, the economy, the climate, and the "changing faces of biology," according to a press release.
"Thanks to the private nature of the Meeting, the participants take part as individuals rather than in any official capacity and hence are not bound by the conventions of their office or by pre-agreed positions. As such, they can take time to listen, reflect and gather insights. There is no detailed agenda, no resolutions are proposed, no votes are taken, and no policy statements are issued," according to the press release.

Bilderberg’s open secret

The secretive and immensely influential Bilderberg Group held its annual conference in Madrid this year.
Between May 30 and June 2, an elite that included the chief executives of Google DeepMind, Microsoft AI, Anthropic and Mistral AI, joined the leaders of multinationals like Citigroup, Pfizer and Shell to take a close look at Artificial Intelligence.
All were invited – and handpicked – by the Bilderberg Group’s steering committee, and in line with the way this always works, their identities were not made public until the eve of the Madrid meeting.

Bilderberg’s open secret
Although the names of 131 attendees from 25 countries were announced on the Bilderberg website on May 29, a source said to be close to the group maintained some time ago that “not all names” were always published.
“Not so,” a Bilderberg spokesperson recently told the Euro Weekly News. “All names of all participants are always published on our website and sent proactively to a large list of media agencies and professional news outlets.
“Sometimes we have a high-ranking representative from the host country present at one of the dinners. These are also often confirmed at the latest moment. This year it was the King at Friday dinner and the PM at Saturday dinner.”
As this year’s host, Spain had 10 representatives who include Foreign Affairs minister Jose Manuel Albares, Economy minister Carlos Cuerpo, the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Pablo Hernandez de Cos and Ana Botin, executive chair of the Santander Bank.
Spain’s former vice-president Nadia Calviño was present as president of the European Investment Bank.
King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and Ukraine’s Foreign minister Dmytro Kuleba were also invited, although the names of the UK contingent’s eight participants would mean little to the uninitiated.
Bilderberg Group discussions and any decisions taken at the Hotel Mirasierra near El Pardo, the late Francisco Franco’s official residence, are made under Chatham House rules. That means information may be used but neither the identity nor the affiliation of the speaker, may be revealed.
These meetings were established in 1954 by Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands to foster Europe-US dialogue, and the Bilderberg Hotel in Oosterbek near Arnhem was chosen to host the first conference.
Because the sessions are cloaked in secrecy, conspiracy theorists have been warning for years that Bilderberg is the true power behind every throne.
Could it be true? Only Bilderberg participants know whether it is or not, and they aren’t telling. _________________ http://www.radio4all.net/index.php/contributor/2149
