Economic Forum Pushes Mideast Aid and Free-trade Agreements

President Bush joined over 1,100 participants at the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Middle East conference at Sharm el-Sheihk, Egypt, May 18-20. The Palestinian-Israeli conflict was one of the center-stage items, and the conference provided added pressure to follow through with the U.S.-backed Paris donor conference pledges of 2007, at which the United States and other countries promised a massive $7.7 billion aid package to the Palestinian Authority run by terrorist Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO.
Afghan President Hamid Karzai appealed at Sharm el-Sheihk for $50 billion in aid for his country. President Bush praised Karzai and announced his support for the Afghan aid appeal. “This is a great opportunity for the world to help Afghanistan grow and prosper,” Bush told the WEF attendees. The agenda of the WEF Sharm el-Sheihk gathering of political, business, and financial elites was aimed at advancing the Greater Middle East Initiative (GMEI) announced by the Bush administration in June 2004 before the G-8 Summit. The GMEI, which envisions a carrot-and-stick approach utilizing free-trade agreements, foreign aid, and U.S.-NATO military power to redraw and restructure the Middle East, was first put forward at the 2004 meeting of the secretive Bilderberg Group.

Carl Bildt to Washington
On Tuesday 3 June, Minister for Foreign Affairs Carl Bildt will travel to Washington. On Wednesday 4 June at 16.00 he will be the keynote speaker at a seminar at House of Sweden arranged by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on the theme 'The Future Transatlantic Agenda'. Mr Bildt will be available to the media after the seminar. On Thursday 5 June, Mr Bildt will take part in the inauguration of the new headquarters of the United States Institute for Peace (USIP).

A Portuguese newspaper has reported on something the American corporate media remains cowardly complicit about and dare not even mention - this week's confab of nearly 200 of the world's most influential powerbrokers in Chantilly Virginia for the 2008 Bilderberg Group meeting.
The Sol newspaper carries a story today concerning two of the Portuguese attendees of this year's conference, the mayors of Lisbon and Porto - Antonio Costa and Rui Rio (pictured top).
Tellingly, the report highlights the fact that Bilderberg has kingmaker power in vetting future Prime Ministers and Presidents, noting how Pedro Santana Lopes and Jose Socrates attended the 2004 meeting in Stresa, Italy before both going on to become Prime Minster of Portugal.
In addition, the report underscores how both Costa and Rio have ambitions to lead their respective parties and potentially run for Prime Minister in the future.
The clear implication is that Costa and Rio are being groomed by Bilderberg for future "selection" as Portuguese Prime Minister in the same way that Bill Clinton and Tony Blair were vetted by the secretive organization in the early 1990's.
The fact that there has been just one mainstream news report about Bilderberg and not one single mention of this year's meeting in the U.S. corporate media less than 48 hours before nearly 200 top globalists will meet to set the agenda for the planet is another damning indictment of the back-slapping cronyism that dominates the national media.
Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that the editors of such newspapers as the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times are regular Bilderberg attendees and value Bilderberg's strict secrecy rule over and above any responsibility to their readers or the American people.
Bilderberg is routinely attended by the world's top CEO's, Prime Minsters, Presidents, NATO officials, UN officials, Federal Reserve members, European Central Bank heads, banking heads, oil heads, University Professors, as well as people like Henry Kissinger, David Rockefeller and Bill Gates.
If 200 football or basketball stars met in secret do you think the media would be interested in finding out what they were talking about?
Yet these people shape the destiny of our world and there's barely a hint of a mention in the U.S. media.

Mayors of Lisbon and Porto represent Portugal in the think-tank's annual meeting which starts this Thursday
The mayors of Lisbon and Porto, Antonio Costa (PS), and Rui Rio (PSD), are the Portuguese invitees at Bilderberg, which will have its annual meeting by the end of this week in Washington.
Bilderberg is an exclusive think-tank which, every year, seeks to invite influential personalities of the political and business world. In 2004, for example, the Portuguese invitees were Pedro Santana Lopes and Jose Socrates, who were to later become prime-ministers.
Besides being mayors to the two biggest cities in the country, both Antonio Costa and Rui Rio are seen as strong candidates to their respective parties' leaderships, in the near future.
This year's Bilderberg meeting will take place between next Thursday and Sunday in a hotel located in the vicinities of Washington.
Francisco Pinto Balsemão, the chairman of Impresa, is the only Portuguese citizen in Bilderberg's board of directors.

Tomorrow, in what promises to be a sunny, warm day, close to 200 Luminaries of The Bilderberg Group will gather at The Westfields Marriott in Chantilly, VA tomorrow to open their 2008 conclave meetings.
Under as much secrecy as daylight will allow, amongst agents and operatives of the NSA, CIA, Mossad, MI6 and just for good measure, probably the Taliban, too, these “Global Elite”, the perpetuators of the “New World Order (NWO)” will go forth boldly, in the direction of their dreams, to live life as they’ve imagined it.
Almost a storybook setup….will there be a fairytale ending?
Not if we can help it.
Tomorrow, severely outnumbered, outgunned, outfinanced, outshouted and underheard, a group of people will be gathered, as the enslaved usually do, at the very outskirts of this event to gather whatever scraps drop from the master’s table.

the portuguese "section" is renew with this two puppets, Balsemao knows how to choose and it came to me the thought that they could formed a central block because they are in the 2 biggest partys in portugal...
or no matter who won the elections in portugal the schedule is to go forward.

BABACAN HOLDS TALKS IN THE US

Foreign Minister and chief negotiator for Turkey's European Union talks Ali Babacan, currently in the US, yesterday delivered a speech to the Atlantic Council think-tank. Stating that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has made many reforms to improve human rights and democracy for all citizens, he added, "We made reforms to guarantee the laws committed much more easily and to improve all citizens' conditions regardless of their religious, cultural or ethnical origin." Stressing that Turkey had to confront realities and speak about their problems, Babacan said, "Otherwise, Turkey couldn't find solutions to its problems. We have coped with problems one by one by since 2002." Touching on the case seeking the AKP’s closure, Babacan stated that they didn't know when the case would end up, that the decision would be conclusive and have to be respected whether they are pleased or not. Babacan also met with Secretary of Energy Samuel W. Bodman and Secretary of Treasury Henry Paulson. Ok, Justin service is now knowing some broadcasting problems.Evidently we have seen some cars coming in the marriot which were booed.Not a lot.A police car was posted in front of them, surveying them.Problems are probably temporary. stay connected with this only direct line in front of the Marriott. Nothing can confirm it s Bilderberg meeting.It is warm to see a few american fiercely rowing against the media silence.

Did you succeed in taking any picture ? Who are the Bilderbergers that you saw there (useful for the 2008 Bilderberg attendees list) ?
