The eyes in the sky (satellites) do not see the so-called greenhouse effect on global warming. They can see fires, hurricanes and other disturbances on earth but they do not reveal evidence of problems related to greenhouse gases.

If green house gases were responsible for global warming, some scientists say, there should be a marked increase in CO2 in high latitudes, especially in the Artic and Antarctic. “But satellites have measured temperatures up there and they don't see anything,” says NASA scientist Robert Jastrow. “So greenhouse effect for some reason is missing. And then the question arises, Okay, what did cause global warming? (“Show ME God” by Fred Heeren)

The fact of global warming does not seem to be the problem. The media and environmentalist outcry against man-made greenhouse effect is not supported by our own scientific technology. The Satellites say it is not there. There are other possibilities.

Sallie Baliunas of the Harvard Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics believes that stars similar to our sun are revealing information that they vary in brightness by an amount that could explain global warming without considering the effect of greenhouse gases. She says that everything we have observed so far fits within the envelope of natural changes. Her studies of the ozone layer do not indicate any evidence of human activity causing ozone changes.

Dr. Nick Bergich and colleague Jeanne Manning proposed another theory in their book, “Angels Don't Play This Haarp.” (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project) They charge that this northern Alaska project initiated by the U.S. Military in 1994 is extremely dangerous to our environment.

The project involves injecting gigawatts of polarized frequency energy into the ionosphere. They call it an “ionosphere heater in the world could profoundly affect already rapidly shifting weather patterns. “For example, a change in the ionic makeup of the upper atmosphere could potentially alter the infrared transmission windows, which control the heat energy reaching our planet from the sun. This, in turn, could cause acceleration of the melting of the polar ice caps, which is already underway.”


What is the ionosphere? It is defined as the electrically charged region, which lies from 50 to 300 miles above the earth's atmosphere. It is called “ionosphere” because of its composition of free electrons and positive ions. It is the region of auroral displays and through which radio waves travel. Above this, is a radiation belt between 2000 to 20,000 miles deep called the magnetosphere or the Van Allen radiation belt. It is in these areas above the atmosphere that some scientists are conducting experiments, which could adversely affect the whole earth.

Michael Griffin, NASA's chief administrator raised the hackles of some fellow scientists when he said, “I am not sure that (global warming) is a problem we must wrestle with.” Some scientists agreed; others were livid. Their angry response instead of searching for truth revealed a political agenda. Griffin later apologized for stirring controversy. “Unfortunately, this is an issue which has become far more political than technical,” he said, ‘ and it would have been well for me to have stayed out of it” (August News Max)

Al Gore is raising an army of 1,000 Americans to distribute his “An Inconvenient Truth” to schools, Rotary clubs, nursing homes, etc. all over the country. He has a right to do that but not everyone is thrilled about it.

“I'm very uncomfortable with 1,000 people who aren't technically trained in a field as important and complex as this proselytizing for one extreme point of view,” said Pat Michaels of the Cato Institute.

Global Warming specialist Myron Ebell (Competitive Enterprise Institute) charges that Gore's sending out substitutes in this manner, makes the latter one of the most polarizing politicians in America. (July News Max)

Although information from the satellites appears to negate the effect of greenhouse gases on global warming, the human factor of tampering in space may be causing damage. There is another possible factor: God. The Psalmist describes his work. “Lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds that do his bidding.” (Psalm 148:8 New International Version of the Bible)

Could he, or would he do anything about it? (Obadiah, verse 4) “Though you soar like the eagle and make your nest among the stars, from there I will bring you down, declares the Lord.”

The issues of Global Warming and greenhouse gases still require serious scientific quests for truth. Prostituting them to a polarizing political agenda will only delay solutions, in fact any are required or possible.
